The Bristol Township has signed a new deal with WM recently, which will serve the area over the next five years.

The new five-year deal between Bristol Township and WM was approved by the Bristol Township Council for $34,581,044. The contract begins in January.

This $34 million contract is 40% higher than the previous contract between the two parties. The last five-year deal agreed upon was only worth $24 million.

The deal will keep up the once-per-week trash and recycling collection going but will reduce bulk pickup to once per month. Yard waste will be collected at the same rate under the new contract and township crews will be responsible for collecting trash from area parks.
