Sacramento, Calif. -- The California Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB), Sacramento, has elected former U.S. Treasurer Rosario Marin to chair the board, which is the state’s primary solid waste recycling agency. Marin, who was appointed a full-time board member by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in April, will replace Linda Moulton-Patterson. Moulton-Patterson joined the CIWMB in August 1999 and served as Board Chair from May 2000 to present. Marin’s term on the CIWMB will run through January 1, 2008.
