Casella Sells Subsidiary, Announces Restructuring

Rutland, Vt. -- Casella Waste Systems Inc. has named James W. Bohlig president and chief operating officer and Charles Leonard senior vice president of solid waste operations. Jerry Cifor will resign as CFO, and Ross Pirasteh, chairman of the board, and Marty Sergi, an executive vice president and board member, have resigned. The company also has sold its Timber Energy Resources Inc. subsidiary, which includes a biomass incinerator in Telogia, Fla., and a wood-chipping facility in Cairo, Ga.
