Charles M. (Mike) Simpkins has been appointed president of Compaction America Inc., Kewanee, Ill. He is responsible for the company headquarters in Kewanee; the BOMAG Light Equipment Division, Binghamton, N.Y.; and BOMAG (Canada) Inc., Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.

Simpkins joined Compaction America in 1991 and has served as senior vice president of marketing and sales for North and South America since 1992. He earned a bachelor's degree from Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, and a MBA from Northwestern University, Evanston, Ill.
