The National Solid Wastes Management Association (NSWMA) and the Waste Equipment Technology Association (WASTEC) partner with a number of providers to offer a variety of discounted industry-targeted services to members. Many companies that take advantage of these NSWMA-WASTEC Member Savings Programs have saved enough money to cover the entire cost of their dues.
The At WasteExpo in New Orleans in the NSWMA-WASTEC booth (#3435), the providers of these services will be giving scheduled presentations about their programs and answering questions. If you’re attending the show, you should come by the NSWMA-WASTEC booth and learn more about these opportunities. Some of the services that will be highlighted include:
Card Payment Services (CPS) assists NSWMA-WASTEC members with credit card processing and offers the lowest rates available. This includes utility rate pricing for NSWMA members and Level 3 Processing for WASTEC members, with additional savings on P-cards, ACH transactions and more. Some members have seen their processing fees decrease by more than 30 percent.
Participating members have seen their processing fees decrease by more than 30 percent. If your company accepts credit card payments, you should talk to CPS about getting better services at a lower price with a free analysis.
NSWMA sponsors a top-of-the-line Casualty Insurance Program for waste service companies of all sizes and types, providing auto liability, general liability, workers compensation and environmental coverage. The objective of the program is to provide a stable market, utilizing a premier insurance market (A+ or better AM Best Rating); a benchmark program, incorporating comprehensive coverage required by the industry in the best possible package; and a competitive program, to assure the industry of competitive premiums over the long haul. NSWMA is teamed with AmWINS Program Underwriters, which serves as Managing General Agent for our A+ rated, American-owned insurance company partner, in offering this program to the industry through independent agents and insurance brokers.
Testing, Testing
Concorde is the single-source-vendor for NSWMA-WASTEC members’ drug and alcohol testing program management, and driver qualification file management. In addition to DOT compliance needs, Concorde offers a variety of services, including pre-employment background screening and employment verification, physical exams, audit support and litigation services. Concorde stands by its single-point-of-contact customer service model. Concorde’s 30 years of solid waste industry experience helps them understand your specific needs.
Through its partnership with Assurance, NSWMA-WASTEC offers limited medical insurance or “mini-med” plans that can be used as a limited healthcare benefit plan for employees who are not eligible or cannot afford traditional major medical coverage. These lower cost plans provide an opportunity for employers, especially small- to medium-sized business owners, to offer health care coverage to their workers. The program also offers a variety of insurance products with competitive pricing, including individual and group medical, dental, life and pet insurance. On average these plans cost anywhere from 25 percent to 50 percent of the price of traditional health insurance, putting them within reach of more employers and employees and can be used in conjunction with high-deductible traditional health insurance plans.
A Surety Thing
Nielson & Co., the largest surety-only bond agency in the country, with more than 20 years’ service to the waste industry, offers NSWMA-WASTEC members customized surety programs. These eliminate the need for collateral or irrevocable letters of credit as a condition for obtaining bonds, freeing up available bank credit to allow your business to grow. Strong relationships with top-rated providers translate into the most favorable terms and conditions for your surety bonds.
If your company is an NSWMA-WASTEC member, you should take advantage of these member savings programs.
