The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) has awarded a nearly $30,000 grant to the city of Eugene to create a DVD promoting the reuse of building materials. Eugene will contract with BRING Recycling to produce and distribute the DVD, according to a DEQ press release.
According to the press release, the “DVD will demonstrate reuse as an effective strategy in preventing waste, reducing greenhouse gases and slowing climate change.”
Also, the “grant is one of nine DEQ is awarding this year to help communities promote solid waste prevention/reduction and conduct household hazardous waste programs,” the release adds.
