FCC Environmental Services Awarded New $135M Florida Contract
Village of Wellington 10-Year Agreement Includes 5-Year Extension

WELLINGTON, Fla. ---- FCC Environmental Services was awarded a contract to commence service for the Village of Wellington by year-end for municipal solid waste, recycling, and commercial waste collections for 10 years, with a potential 5-year extension.
The Village Council members unanimously approved the contract during a recent May 11 board meeting. The total backlog of the contract with the extension is worth about $135 million.
FCC Environmental Services will operate the contract from its yard in nearby Boynton Beach with an additional 17-truck fleet. The southeast Florida community of Wellington resides in Palm Beach County.
“We’ll now be serving well over 1 million Floridians,” said CEO Inigo Sanz. “Wellington joins a growing list of nine FCC Environmental Service municipal contracts in Florida, including services in Orange, Polk, and Volusia Counties.”
The new Wellington contract covers 25,000 households where FCC Environmental Services will collect garbage twice weekly, as well as recycling and yard waste once weekly. The agreement also includes solid waste services to more than 450 commercial businesses.
