Gary Vermeer Dies

Gary Vermeer, founder of Pella, Iowa-based Vermeer Corp., a manufacturer of agricultural, construction and environmental equipment, has died at the age of 90 years old. Vermeer founded the company in 1948 and retired in 1989.
Funeral services were held Friday. Vermeer is survived by his wife, Matilda, and three children. A Web site, www.GaryVermeer.com, is available to send condolences.
