The nazi party is known for its beliefs of white supremacy and socialism, and now it's making news for clearing trash from roadsides. Residents of Marion County, Ore., are up in arms over a road sign near Salem that indicates that the American Nazi Party is participating in the Adopt-a-Road program. County officials have received numerous complaints about the sign but say that they cannot do anything about it because stopping the group's participation would violate its First Amendment free speech rights. Any recognized organization is allowed to participate in the program to clean highways, although groups such as Boy Scout troops normally volunteer. Opposition to the party's participation is mounting, as seen by fliers taped to the party's Adopt-a-Road signs that say, “They only pick up white trash.”
