ISRI Journalist Simon Wakesberg Dies

Simon “Si” Wakesberg, New York bureau chief of the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries’ (ISRI) “Scrap” magazine, died on Feb. 22, 2008. Wakesberg had worked for ISRI and its trade publication since 1987. He was 95 years old.

“Si was an institution at ISRI and will be missed by all of us who had the privilege and honor to work with him and get to know him over the years,” said Robin K. Wiener, president of ISRI, in a press release.
