“Companies in the recycled materials industry understand the importance of respecting and employing people from diverse backgrounds and abilities, as well as valuing their contributions,” said ISRI President Robin Wiener. “I am thrilled to see so many companies in our industry and in our membership recognized for their focus on making diversity a pillar of strong business practices.”
ISRI members on the list include:
- Alcoa
- BMO Harris
- Colgate-Palmolive
- Georgia Pacific
- Jabil
- Kaiser Aluminum
- Keurig Dr. Pepper
- Nucor
- Pratt Industries
- SA Recycling
- Stanley Black & Decker
- Starbucks
- Thermo
- Truist
- Waste Management
“I congratulate our ISRI members that were recognized for making diversity a true priority,” said ISRI Chairman Brian Henesey. “The recycled materials industry is propelled by different worldviews, creativity, and innovation to positively impact our economy, supply chain, and preservation of our natural resources.”
Newsweek and market data research firm Plant-A Insights produced the introductory list, which yielded 350,000 company reviews. According to Newsweek, “U.S. Respondents were asked questions about corporate culture, working environment and other subjects at both their own companies and others they were familiar with. Employing a wide variety of people who feel comfortable and respected isn't a desirable perk, it is simply good business.”
