Solid Waste District Director

County of Flathead, MT – Salary: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 DOE per year, plus excellent benefits. Vacancy for a professional individual committed to solid waste issues.

Qualified applicants must be able to demonstrate 10 years of progressively responsible leadership in Solid Waste Management. Experience should include budget development, equipment selection, staff development, intergovernmental and regulatory agency cooperation, safety programs, knowledge of landfill operations; landfill gas management and development, composting, recycling and rural refuse collection.

The County operates one 220 TPD MSW landfill, 13 container sites, and has a budget of over $6 million. Only those qualified applicants submitting the required County application form will be considered.
