SANITATION SUPERINTENDENT: City of Kissimmee seeks exp’d mgr to direct their Solid Waste Division, a self-supporting enterprise fund operating w/in the Public Works Department. Kissimmee has a modern collection fleet utilizing fully automated trucks and one-man routes. Ann’l budget of $2.8 Million and 17 team members who provide superb residential curbside collection. Comm’l solid waste collection is via franchise. Kissimmee is a progressive and growing city; pop. 50,000, centrally located, about 10 miles from Walt Disney World.

Successful appl must have thorough knowl of effective and efficient methods & procedures of scheduling, billing and collecting trash, garbage and other refuse; thorough knowl of equipment used for solid waste collections, transportation & disposal; ability to communicate effectively, clearly, and concisely, both orally and in writing. Must have knowl of PC software, plus proven mgmt exp in solid waste collection, routing and billing. Prefer SWANA certf’d Collection Mgr. Salary range $39,572 - $59,357 (DOQ) plus full benefit pkg.
