Komatsu Opens, Expands Manufacturing Plants

Brussels, Belgium -- Komatsu Ltd. is launching its first North American center aimed at designing better earthmovers. The facility will be located at the company's Chattanooga, Tenn., plant. The company also plans to expand operations to include designing large motor graders, skid steer loaders and backhoe loaders.

Komatsu America Corp., Vernon Hills, Ill., also has opened a new facility in Newberry, S.C., to manufacture backhoe loaders.
