Markham, Ontario, Canada-based Miller Waste Systems has purchased a compressed natural gas (CNG) front loader from McNeilus. The firm is believed to be the first Canadian hauler to take delivery of a CNG-powered vehicle, says London Machinery, McNeilus’ representative in Canada.

“Miller Waste Systems has been involved with green programs for years, from material recycling facilities to composting. Taking the initiative with CNG-powered refuse trucks is a logical next step,” said Dean Ellis, corporate manager of equipment, maintenance and purchasing for Miller Waste Systems, in a press release.
