New ASTM Standard for Plastic Lumber Introduced

Boca Raton, Fla. — Plastic Lumber Corp., Boca Raton, Fla., has announced that the American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM), West Conshohocken, Pa., recently approved a standard for recycling plastic lumber decking. The standard, D6662-01, lets manufacturers put an ASTM stamp on their plastic lumber, provides an alternative to treated lumber, doesn't degrade the environment and is recyclable, according to Plastic Lumber.
