ACQUISITIONS * Columbus McKinnon Corp., Amherst, N.Y., has acquired Camlok Lifting Clamps Ltd., Chester, England, and the Tigrip product line from Schmidt-Krantz and Co. GmbH, Ger-many. G.L. International Inc., Bedford, Texas, also has merged with Columbus McKinnon Corp.

* Marathon Equipment Co., Vernon, Ala., has acquired Reduction Technology Inc., Leeds, Ala.

* N-Viro International Corp., Toledo, Ohio, has reacquired the company's licensing rights from Carey Technologies Inc., Lexington, Ky., for the states of Virginia, West Virginia and parts of Kentucky.

* Superior Services Inc., of Milwaukee has acquired Able Industries Inc., St. Louis. Superior has signed definitive agreements to purchase Morris County Sanitation Service Inc. of East Hanover, N.J., and Eastern Waste Services Corp. of Jersey City, N.J.

AGREEMENTS * Kanga Loaders USA, Bixby, Okla., has signed an agreement with the Ariens Company, Brillion, Wis., to manufacture and distribute Ariens' mini skid steer loader and attachments.

* Corporations Supporting Recycling (CSR), Toronto, Ontario, Canada, has partnered with member companies of the Food and Consumer Products Manufacturers of Canada (FCPMC), Don Mills, Ontario, Canada.

* IHS Environmental, Exton, Pa., has announced its partnership with NETSCAN Technology Corp., Fairfax, Va.

ANNOUNCEMENTS * Mack Trucks Inc., Allentown, Pa., announces it closed 1998 with 26,801 U.S. Class 8 retail truck sales, an increase from 12.5 percent in 1997. Its total retail volume in 1997 increased 17 percent, to 209,483 vehicles. Mack's Canadian subsidiary increased its retail sales volume by 4.2 percent.

* G&K Services, Minneapolis, announces the construction of an industrial uniform cleaning and processing plant in Coppell, Texas.

* Komatsu Financial, Downers Grove, Ill., has announced the implementation of "Komatsu Solutions," a new distributor finance training program.

* Environmental Resources Management (ERM), Exton, Pa., announces its Global Merger and Acquisition Advisory Services.

* Safety Vision Inc., Houston, announces an increase in its sales staff by 30 percent, an expansion of the marketing and accounting departments, and the addition of a procurement department.

* Clement Industries, Minden, La., has announced the creation of its new National Distributor Council.

AWARDS * Gilbert Vallejo with the City of Austin, Texas, won grand prize and John Elliott with the City of Dallas, Texas, won second prize in Plastic Omnium Zarn's "Guess the number of peanuts in a 65-gallon CityCart" WasteExpo contest.

* Benson International, Mineral Wells, W. Va., was inadvertently left out of the transfer trailers, live floors and tippers directory ["Trucking the Trash," Waste Age May 1999, page 250].

* In "Medwaste Regulations Go Global," Waste Age May 1999, page 172, the Department of Transportation (DOT) website should have read http://dms.dot.gov
