- Waste Industries Inc., Raleigh, N.C., has acquired Shamrock Environmental Inc., Oglethorpe, Ga.

- The Aluminum Company of America (Alcoa), Cleveland, has acquired Wheel Master Pty Ltd., Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

- CP Manufacturing Inc., National City, Calif., has acquired Countec Inc., Des Moines, Iowa.

- Lenox Instrument Co. Inc., Trevose, Pa., has bought John M. Pultz Co., formerly located in Mokina, Ill.

- ReTech Industries Inc., High Point, N.C., has merged with Vecoplan Maschinenfabrik GmbH & Co. KG, Bad Marienberg, Germany, to create Vecoplan, LLC, High Point, N.C.

- American Baler Co., Bellevue, Ohio, has added new dealers: Roadrunner Paper, Albuquerque, N.M.; Columbus Industries Inc., Fairview, Ill.; and Environmental Services, Phoenix.
