The National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA) congratulates everyone elected on Tuesday, November 8, and looks forward to working with them on behalf of the waste and recycling industry as well as the communities that our members serve.
“We appreciate every candidate who put his or her name on the ballot in this election regardless of if they won or not,” said NWRA President and CEO Darrell Smith. “Whether it was for a federal, state, or local position, it is important for voters to have a choice and be exposed to a variety of ideas so that we can have a debate about the issues that matter most.
“For those officials who retired and the candidates who were not successful this time, we thank you for your public service and efforts. We congratulate those who won and look forward to serving as a resource for you on the issues impacting the waste and recycling industry.”
