For the second year in a row, Ascend Elements has been named to Fast Company’s prestigious list of the World’s Most Innovative Companies. The fast-growing EV battery materials company earned the #1 ranking in Fast Company’s Automotive category for the 2024 list. Other top brands on the global list include Nvidia, YouTube and Taco Bell. This year’s list shines a spotlight on businesses that are shaping industry and culture through innovation.

From March 18th to the 21st, the Plastics Industry Association will hold its annual Spring Meeting and partner with the American Chemistry Council for a Plastics Industry Legislative Fly-In. These events allow for plastics industry stakeholders to gather in the nation’s capital to help set the direction of the industry, promote a sustainable future, navigate the economic landscape, showcase innovation and insights, and advance key policy initiatives. The industry legislative fly-in bridges the gap between local employers from the industry and elected officials on Capitol Hill on a wide range of policy issues including plastic sustainability, recycling, and promoting innovation.

Republic Services, Inc. (NYSE:RSG) and the Republic Services Charitable Foundation announced the 15 organizations receiving 2024 National Neighborhood Promise grants. The Foundation's National Neighborhood Promise program aims to promote sustainable communities and the quality of life of residents through volunteer projects, monetary donations and in-kind services. This year, a total of $3 million is being awarded to 15 nonprofit organizations making a lasting difference in their local communities.
