Bethlehem, Pa. -- The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has presented awards to nine state police officers from Troop M in recognition of their efforts and assistance during recent trash truck inspections.

The inspections came as a result of Operation Clean Sweep, a series of surprise inspections that occurred last May to improve waste vehicle conditions and reduce truck violations in the state.

Officers honored included Corporals Christopher Eismont and Paul Keen, and troopers David Coyne, Donald Kozic, Christopher Lengle, Michael Lowe, Paul Movsesian, Peter Myers and Bernard Tolliver.
