Pinero Appointed Federal Environmental Executive

Washington, D.C. — President George W. Bush has appointed Edwin Pinero to serve as the federal environmental executive in the Environmental Protection Agency. Pinero had served as the acting federal environmental executive since mid-June, when John Howard resigned. Pinero previously was the deputy federal environmental executive.
