Reno was recordbreaking according to the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA), Silver Spring, Md., which hosted its largest equipment show ever. This year's show brought more than 3,538 attendees and 225 exhibitors together, melding equipment manufacturers and users.
"We really have to thank our members and our exhibitors for the continued success of WASTECON," says John H. Skinner, executive director and CEO of SWANA. "We are excited by the results and will redouble our efforts to make future WASTECONs even more worthwhile professional and business events for our members."
With more than 20 technical sessions and new technology being unveiled, WASTECON '99 participants found new ways to improve efficiency, as well as network with their peers.
