  • Long Beach, Calif.-based SCS Engineers has appointed John Jenry Liserio as director of corporate health and safety. Prior to joining SCS, he was with the Washington-based Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

  • Houston-based Waste Management (WM) has appointed Mark Weidman president of Wheelabrator Technologies Inc., a WM subsidiary that owns or operates 17 waste-to-energy facilities and six independent power production plants. Weidman, who has been vice president of operations at Wheelabrator since 2001, will succeed Drennan Lowell, who is retiring.

  • Beaverton, Ore.-based Routeware, a manufacturer of hardware and software for the waste industry, has named Chad Hardy and Rob Kirk as regional sales executives for the firm's Southwest and East regions, respectively.

  • Jim Hoffman, senior account executive for St. Louis-based PSC Metals Inc., will become president of the local chapter of the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) in April. He will serve a two-year term.
