Long Beach, Calif.-based SCS Engineers has appointed John Jenry Liserio as director of corporate health and safety. Prior to joining SCS, he was with the Washington-based Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
Houston-based Waste Management (WM) has appointed Mark Weidman president of Wheelabrator Technologies Inc., a WM subsidiary that owns or operates 17 waste-to-energy facilities and six independent power production plants. Weidman, who has been vice president of operations at Wheelabrator since 2001, will succeed Drennan Lowell, who is retiring.
Beaverton, Ore.-based Routeware, a manufacturer of hardware and software for the waste industry, has named Chad Hardy and Rob Kirk as regional sales executives for the firm's Southwest and East regions, respectively.
Jim Hoffman, senior account executive for St. Louis-based PSC Metals Inc., will become president of the local chapter of the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) in April. He will serve a two-year term.
