  • Sister companies Tierra Verde Industries and E-Recycling of California, Irvine, Calif., have hired Kevin McCarthy as business development manager for their recycling operations.

  • Caterpillar's Large Power Systems division, Mossville, Ill, has appointed James Halloran as California regulatory affairs manager.

  • Julie Salnicky has been named vice president of finance and chief financial officer for the engineering and environmental consulting firm Skelly and Loy, Harrisburg, Pa.



Announcements

  • Mack Trucks, Allentown, Pa., has named three powertrain sales managers: Scoot Barraclough, who will serve the northeast and southeast regions; Joe Scarnecchia, who will serve the central and southwest regions; and Steven de Sousa, who will serve all of Canada.

  • John Scott has been promoted to president and chief executive of Statesville, N.C.-based Toter Inc. Scott, who was recently vice president of sales, is replacing Larry Boppe, who is retiring.

Before joining Waste Age as the magazine's managing editor, he was an associate editor for American City & County and for National Real Estate Investor.

Prior to joining Penton, Stephen worked as a reporter for The Marietta Daily Journal and The Fulton County Daily Report, both of which are located in metro Atlanta.

Stephen earned a BA in History from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tenn.
