Gary Viall has joined Alger, Mich.-based Roll-Rite LLC as southern regional sales manager, solid waste market. Previously, Viall was a sales representative for The Gibson Co. for eight years.

Viall will be responsible for managing sales to new and existing customers in the refuse, recycling and scrap industries in the southern United States, as well as facilitating collaboration with target OEMs. His office is in Signal Mountain, Tenn., where he resides.

The National Solid Wastes Management Association (NSWMA) has announced that Stephen B. Smith, president and COO of Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Hydro Geo Chem Inc., has been elected to NSWMA's Executive Committee, effective Jan. 1.
