The San Antonio Solid Waste Management Department has announced it will open its compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station this week.

The facility will be used to fuel the city’s fleet of 30 CNG-fueled garbage trucks, which will be used to collect trash and recyclables from 75,000 homes in its northeast service area.
