Santa Fe Gets Dell Cash for Computers

Santa Fe, N.M. -- The Solid Waste Authority of Santa Fe has been awarded a $10,000 grant from Dell Inc. to develop and promote computer recycling programs. The department is one of 12 nationwide recipients whoe were selected by Dell from more than 200 applicants. According to Dell's Pat Nathan, the grants are designed to increase awareness of responsible end-of-life options for computers and to empower communities with a model and means for successful e-waste collection events. The grantees, which include state, and local governments, education institutions and nonprofit organizations, also will receive technical assistance in computer component recycling from the National Recycling Coalition.
