SCS Engineers Names Doug Doerr as CEO
SCS Engineers has selected Doug Doerr as its new president and Chief Executive Officer. Doerr will take over for outgoing CEO James Walsh beginning January 1, 2024.
SCS Engineers has selected Doug Doerr as its new president and Chief Executive Officer.
Doerr will take over for outgoing CEO James Walsh beginning January 1, 2024. Jim Walsh will continue as the Board of Directors Chair, transition Doerr, and continue to provide clients with his technical expertise. In an era of CEOs coming and going, Walsh's 22-year tenure and reputation within the industry are very well-known.

Doerr, who has more than three decades of experience will leverage his strategic direction and operations experience as SCS's geographically largest Business Unit Director. Doerr currently serves on the company's Board of Directors and alsowas one of the founding principals of Aquaterra Environmental Solutions, Inc., which merged with SCS in 2013, according to the company.
A licensed Professional Engineer in six states, Doerr earned his degrees in Civil Engineering and Business Administration from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, and the University of Kansas, respectively. His focus on providing technical expertise in solid waste management and utility sectors has been a cornerstone of his service to clients in North America.
Doerr's commitment to addressing clients' technical and regulatory challenges by understanding the broader business, economic, and social context is evident throughout his career. As an engineer and consultant, he takes pride in implementing successful environmental solutions across various market sectors for both public and private clients.
