Shareholders Letter Urges Waste Management on Disclosure

Houston -- The Employee Pension Plan of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees has sent a letter to shareholders of Waste Management Inc., urging them to vote for a shareholder proposal that would ask the company to report the effects of its business strategy on measures to oppose privatization of waste collection, disposal, transfer and recycling services.
