SWACO Promotes New Director

The Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio (SWACO) has announced the promotion of Ron Mills to director. Previously, Mills was the assistant director of SWACO. He succeeds the founding director of SWACO, Mike Long, who retired in September 2007 after 18 years.

The Columbus Dispatch reports that the SWACO board of directors has given Mills a to-do list that includes focusing on the organization’s mission and being more selective in forging public or private partnerships, such as those that aim to convert trash to energy or building supplies.
