The Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA), Silver Spring, Md., is pleased to present its 37th annual solid waste exposition, WASTECON '99.
By attending WASTECON, solid waste professionals can: * Sit in on more than 20 technical sessions on economic, political, operational, technical and policy issues affecting solid waste management;
* Participate in classroom-style training courses related to various components of integrated solid waste management;
* View the latest in equipment, technology, products and services from more than 200 exhibitors;
* Tour local solid waste facilities in and around the Reno area; and
* Meet peers, renew acquaintances and build a network of valuable resources.
WASTECON '99 in Reno presents the first partnership between SWANA and the U.S. Composting Council (USCC), Amherst, Ohio. USCC members and associates will present composting technical sessions, a one-day training course and participate as exhibitors during the three-day event.
In addition to the exhibits, training courses and technical sessions, WASTECON also will provide networking opportunities. Participants can attend SWANA's evening gatherings and networking roundtable breakfasts, as well as attend the many technical division and chapter meetings.
WASTECON continues to grow at an exceptional rate. Exhibit space sales for this year in Reno were at an all-time high, exceeding the numbers from Charlotte, N.C., in 1998 and St. Louis in 1997. This is an excellent accomplishment.
We thank Waste Age for its continued support of SWANA's efforts, and specifically for providing its readers with information on WASTECON '99. We look forward to seeing you in Reno!
