Philadelphia-based PTR Baler and Compactor Co. has launched a new Web site (www.ptrco.com). The site allows customers to view product offerings, research equipment specifications and order replacement parts.

Peoria, Ill.-based Caterpillar has formed Cat Environmental Technologies, a group within the company that will develop and manufacture aftertreatment technologies for the firm's truck engines.

Columbia, Mo., has contracted with Cambridge, Mass.-based CDM to design the remaining three cells of the city's 107-acre landfill for bioreactor operation. The bioreactor is expected to begin operation in 2008.

The Baltimore-based Wildlife Habitat Council (WHC) has awarded Houston-based Waste Management (WM) International Habitat Conservation Awards for the firm's wildlife habitat conservation efforts at seven of its landfills.
