  • Waste Management Inc., Houston, has expanded its medical waste operations by forming Waste Management Healthcare Solutions (WMHS). In other news, the company's $800,100 bid won a celebrity-autographed motorcycle Jay Leno was auctioning off to benefit tsunami victims.

  • Heil Environmental, Chattanooga, Tenn., has a new tag line: “The Wheels Are Always Turning.” The company also has shortened its name to Heil Environmental.

  • Onyx Waste Services, Milwaukee, Wis., has launched an improved Web site, www.onyxws.com.

  • The National Demolition Association, Doylestown, Pa., has announced that prospective members can now apply for membership and pay dues online at www.demolitionassociation.com.

  • Lake Wales, Fla.-based Petersen Industries has updated its Web site, www.PetersenInd.com, to include photos, videos and company information.

Before joining Waste Age as the magazine's managing editor, he was an associate editor for American City & County and for National Real Estate Investor.

Prior to joining Penton, Stephen worked as a reporter for The Marietta Daily Journal and The Fulton County Daily Report, both of which are located in metro Atlanta.

Stephen earned a BA in History from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tenn.
