RJM Waste Equipment Co., Easley, S.C., and investment bankers A.E. Rosica and Co. Inc., McLean, Va., have successfully closed the second round equity investment transaction between RJM and Frontier Capital, Charlotte, N.C.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Washington D.C., has chosen Dell, Round Rock, Texas, for computer Asset Recovery Services. The EPA plans to build product recovery into its purchase contracts and anticipates being able to reinvest $2 million into research as a result.

Pittsburgh, Pa.-based Draeger Safety has awarded Ben Cook as the company's “Planner of the Year.” Cook is materials manager for the company. He won by providing the most accurate forecast of the type and quantity of products that would be sold by the company in 2003.
Mack Trucks Inc., Allentown, Penn., has selected Roger Kriete as U.S. Distributor of the Year. Kriete is dealer principal for Milwaukee Mack Sales.
Contracts
The Long Beach, Calif., office of SCS Engineers, San Diego, has been awarded a contract by the city of Riverside Public Works Department to provide civil engineering services for capital improvement projects.
The city of Baton Rouge, parish of East Baton Rouge, La., has awarded a contract for assistance in developing a solid waste management strategic plan to Gershman, Brickner & Bratton Inc. of Fairfax, Va.
