Vasuki Wins Award; NAPCOR Makes Promotions

The National Association for PET Container Resources (NAPCOR), Charlotte, N.C., has promoted Mike Schedler to vice president of technology and Don Kneass to vice president of regional affairs/Western regional director.

Dan Lindberg has been named vice president and chief financial officer for the International Trucking Group, Chicago, a subsidiary of Chicago-based Navistar International Transportation Corp.

Charles G. (Chip) McClure has been appointed president and CEO of Detroit Diesel Corp.

Brett Bowlus has been hired as an account manager for Tarcon Inc., Pulaski, Wis.

Leistra Associates, Grand Rapids, Mich., has hired Sara A. Wanless as a public relations account executive for several trucking industry clients.

John Way has been named national sales manager for the Tire Management System of Eaton Corp., Kalamazoo, Mich.

Stellar Industries Inc., Garner, Iowa, has appointed Dianna Elder as a communications assistant.

The Sustainable Jobs Fund (SJF), Durham, N.C., has hired Larry Waddell as an associate in the organization's Philadelphia office. Ed Holub has been hired as SJF's new finance manager based in the Durham office.

Hendrickson, Woodridge, Ill., has appointed several employees to new positions: Keith Gelinas, sales director for truck products; Dave Overmyer, director of sales for fleets and vehicles; Dan Lyne, Navistar account manager; Curt Wagner, Mack account manager; Doug Sanford, director of the OEM Marketing Group; John Ruley, product manager for non drive systems; Beverly Pierce, director of corporate communications and Roxanne Szczypkowski, manager of marketing communications.

Mary Yohner has been named supervisor of Morgantown, Pa.-based Morgan Corp., Parts and Services Division's Technical Service and Information Center. Mark Hetrich has been named materials and logistics manager for the company's Parts and Services Division. Paul Roth has been appointed director of Brookhaven, N.Y.'s waste management department.

Genesis Equipment & Manufacturing Inc., Superior, Wis., has named Lance Green regional manager for the Western region, and David Palvere regional manager for the Northwest.

The Automotive Recyclers Association has named several regional directors: Charlie Bauer, Jim Butler, Danny Caperton, Terry Charlton, Jimmie Foss, John Grigas, John Hochmiller, Ken Horn, Allen Lindquist, Ed MacDonald, Randy Montgomery, Peter Moore, Bill Morrison and Shannon Nordstrom.

CEO of the Delaware Solid Waste Authority, Dover, has received the 1999 Roy S. Weston Award from the Philadelphia-based Journal of Solid Waste Technology and Management. The award, presented at the 15th Annual International Conference on Solid Waste Technology and Management in Philadelphia in December 1999, recognized Vasuki for his commitment to landfill research and his involvement in solid waste organizations. Earlier in 1999, Vasuki also awarded an honorary fellowship from the British Institute of Wastes management, Northampton, England.
