Veolia appoints new president and COO of solid waste division

The Milwaukee-based solid waste division of Veolia Environmental Service North America (VESNA) today announced the appointment of Richard Burke as President and COO of Veolia ES Solid Waste, effective Jan. 1, 2007. Burke replaces Paul Jenks, who retired as President and CEO at the end of 2006. Burke joined VESNA in 1999 and previously served as Vice President of the Eastern Region of Veolia ES Solid Waste.
"Richard Burke brings a wealth of industry experience and strategic insight to his new role as President and COO,” said VESNA CEO Michel Gourvennec, in a press release. “These traits will serve us well as he takes an active approach in driving the growth of our company across North America."
