Paul L. Vikner has been named president and CEO of Mack Trucks Inc., Allentown, Pa., and Michael Gigou, former president and CEO of Mack since 1996, has been named president and CEO of Volvo Trucks North America Inc., Greensboro, N.C.

Vikner began his trucking career with Volvo in 1972 and held several management positions in the company's international division. In 1995, he became senior vice president of sales, and in 1996 he was named executive vice president of sales and marketing.

Gigou began his career in 1972 with Renault in France, Sweden and the United Kingdom. He has a degree in civil engineering from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Métiers of Paris, and a business degree from IMEDE in Lausanne, Switzerland.
