Hattiesburg, Miss. -- The Pine Belt Regional Solid Waste Authority has lost its hold on flow control laws that required solid waste to go to the authority’s landfill and three transfer stations. The Washington, D.C.-based National Solid Wastes Management Association and several of its members sued, alleging the local government’s laws violated the Commerce Clause.
