Hot dogs and beer. They make an ideal pairing at the ball park … or in a car robbery. To celebrate his 21st birthday, one Wisconsin man drank a few too many beers and stole a car, an incident he hardly remembers. While in the vehicle, he consumed a late-night snack that included a hot dog. When he abandoned the stolen ride, he left behind the hot dog wrapper, a move that helped police finger him as the suspect.

When officers found the wrapper in the vehicle, they sent it to a crime lab where it was tested for prints, which matched those of the birthday boy who had a previous record. The experience proves that not properly disposing of trash will ketchup with us all.
