Mr. T Carting Celebrates 70th Anniversary

New York-based Mr. T Carting recently celebrated its 70th anniversary. Over the years, the company has grown from one owner-employee and one truck to 93 employees and a fleet of 37 trucks.

On October 4, nearly 100 employees, customers, business leaders, friends and local elected officials gathered at Terrace on the Park in Flushing, Queens, to celebrate the company’s many achievements.

Mr. T Carting is one of the ten oldest family-owned businesses in Queens, and one of the six largest private carting companies in New York City. It is known as an innovator, especially in the area of food waste. With nearly half of its customers in food-related businesses, the company gathers food waste and directs it for compost.
