With California's rate of cans and bottles going to landfills increasing by 89 percent in just five years, there is very evidently a waste issue dramatically increasing in the state.

As landfills begin reaching their brink, California needs to rethink its recycling and waste tactics as they begin to prove itself unendurable to the evolving recycling scape of the state. While it remains a green capital of the world and a mecca for green causes, this blemish to its records is something that needs addressed—and fast.
