Glendale voted last week to close the Scholl Canyon landfill
Glendale City Council voted last week unanimously to close the Scholl Canyon landfill. Once the landfill reaches capacity in the year 2025, it will no longer be renewed or expanded. Now, locals are trying to figure out what should be done with the land. The landfill is expected to be utilized as a power plant by installing equipment to convert methane from decaying garbage into energy.
