Advanced Disposal Services Inc. has purchased the waste hauling assets of RW Edwards Equipment Co. for an undisclosed amount, expanding its operations in Tennessee.

The Ponte Vedra, Fla.-based Advanced Disposal said in a news release the purchase of the Bluff City, Tenn.-based RW Edwards’ assets includes more than 400 commercial customers in the Bristol, Tenn., area, including contracts and containers, and six trucks. Advanced Disposal will serve those customers through the company’s Eco Safe Landfill in Blountville, Tenn.

Advanced will add six drivers, two office staff and one sales representative from RW Edwards with the acquisition.

“RW Edwards presented a great opportunity to begin Advanced Disposal hauling operations in the tri-cities due to its reputation for quality collection services and customer care,” said Dave Lavender, Advanced Disposal regional vice president.
