Rumpke Buys Waste Hauler Pike Sanitation

Rumpke Consolidated Companies Inc. has acquired waste hauler Pike Sanitation Inc. for an undisclosed amount.

The Cincinnati-based Rumpke purchased certain waste collection assets of the Waverly, Ohio-based Pike. Those include about 13,000 customers in the Ohio counties of Adams, Jackson, Highland, Pike, Ross, Scioto and Vinton, according to a news release.

Rumpke hopes to add more than 40 employees with the acquisition.

“Rumpke is eager to welcome new team members. They have excellent experience, knowledge and skills, and we are grateful to have them on board,” said Amanda Pratt, Rumpke director of communications.
