United Milwaukee Scrap LLC and Schulz’s Recycling Inc. have merged operations.

The merger of the Milwaukee-based United and the Merrill, Wis.-based Schulz’s creates a new company with eight locations in Wisconsin and offices in Minneapolis and Boston, according to a news release. It expands the companies’ geographic footprint and broadens the availability of resources for both firms.

Jeff Isroff, president of Schulz’s, will become CEO of the combined company. The two firms will retain their respective names.

Schultz’s is a ferrous and non-ferrous scrap processor with yards in Merrill and Wausau. United has six locations around Milwaukee, as well as the offices outside of Wisconsin.

“We believe this merger provides us with an extraordinary opportunity to better serve the expanding needs of our customers and provide further opportunity to our employees,” Isroff said.
