Waste Management Inc. has bought Alli-Roll-Off Inc. (ARI) for an undisclosed amount.

Waste Management of Wisconsin/Minnesota, a unit of the Houston-based parent, said in a news release the Kasson, Minn.-based Alli operated in the Minnesota cities of Pine Island, Byron, Kasson, Mantorville, Dodge Center, Claremont, West Concord and Hayfield.

The acquisition included five trucks and adds more than 3,000 customers in the Olmsted County area.

Waste Management said it hopes to retain as many ARI employees as possible.

The company said the purchase fits well with its operations at the Rochester, Minn., district. It also sees growth opportunity with increasing economic development in southeast Minnesota.

“We are looking forward to serving our new customers in southeast Minnesota and building on our existing collection operations in the area,” said Pete VanDussen, area director of operations for Waste Management. “This acquisition makes perfect sense for Waste Management and comes at a time when we are growing our business to meet the needs of the community.”
