Whitecap Enterprises Announces Sale of Whitecap Waste Holdings, LLC
August 21, 2024
WARRENTON, Va. --Whitecap Enterprises, building strong businesses with lasting value, announces the sale of Whitecap Waste Holdings, LLC, a West Virginia solid waste disposal company established in 2019.
Jeff Shiring, managing partner, Whitecap, says, “Our vision for this venture, driven from our deep West Virginia relationships and industry experience, allowed us to build an incredible, regional company. As we exit this project, I would like to thank our investors and key members of our team who helped us achieve our goals.”
Shiring attributes the success of Whitecap Waste Holdings to the support of a founding member of Whitecap, Barry Peck, who sadly passed away in 2023. He also acknowledges the incredible commitment and dedication of Ralph Park, and the significant support of one of the Company’s investors, Tim Kyle.
“When the chips were down, and at a critical moment in time, Tim reached into his own pocket to fund an acquisition so that the transaction could close on time,” says Shiring. “We also have a deep appreciation for all our investors who trusted us with their invested capital. We wouldn't be here today without their support.”
Shiring expresses his enthusiasm for the sale, adding, “While we are all thrilled with the sale, we are also saddened to be leaving a market we know so well. As with any good story, one chapter has ended but a new one begins. We look forward to pursuing other solid waste opportunities.”
Whitecap considers investing in many industries that are in their early to middle life cycle with strong committed leaders. Whitecap is most excited to partner with and invest in companies that operate in fragmented industries, with EBITDA exceeding $500k, located in Canada or the United States, that are looking for growth financing, recapitalization, or corporate divestitures. Whitecap Enterprises invests in lower- to middle-market companies with the potential for significant growth. We remain industry agnostic.
