Winters Bros. Acquires Harbor Carting and Empire Waste Removal

Winters Bros. Waste Systems announced it has purchased the assets of Harbor Carting and Empire Waste Removal with operations based in Huntington, N.Y. Eddie Colatosti and Ronnie Colatosti, two of the owners of Harbor Carting and Empire Waste, will assist with the transition to Winters Bros. and join the Winters Bros. team.

Waste Systems, in a statement. “We expect this transition to be seamless for customers. Customers will continue to receive the same great service from the same professional employees. Our goal is to exceed our customers’ highest expectations for solid waste collection and recycling services. The Colatosti family has served customers on Long Island for more than 50 years and have established an excellent reputation over time.”

All employees of Empire and Harbor will work for Winters Bros. as the company continues to grow on Long Island. In addition to providing solid waste collection and recycling services, Winters Bros. operates nine transfer stations and recycling centers on Long Island.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
