The Recycle Bin: Progress on Organics Recycling in Brunswick

Grant money secured from the Maine DEP is being used by the local Recycling & Sustainability Committee to promote and improve recycling in the town. The money goes towards paying an intern working to create educational material for the public and a number of different pieces of subsidized equipment for backyard composting. Of this equipment, Brunswick citizens can purchase lobster trap wire composters, compost bins, and stainless steel kitchen scrap pails. 

 

It is hoped that these services will help to encourage members of the community to more regularly and properly utilize the town's recycling and organics.
